Antiqued: A worn, contrasted appearance of oxidized silver gives it a vintage and natural look. Usually paired with a rough finish for a natural, raw, vintage metal look.
Polished: Shiny, high-end finish that makes a statement. Polished pieces are more "porous" and more prone to
tarnishing. Please take extra care with these, use a polishing cloth to clean and take off your pieces to avoid any scratches when active.
Selva jewelry is created to either look rugged or clean. Being handmade, each piece has its own slight uniqueness to it. You may notice over time that our pieces can change due to wear and tear and exposure from substances like chlorine, salt, sulfur (leather products), rubber, water and air. So, if you want to keep the original beauty of Selva pieces, please take off jewelry before use with any substances (especially for our high Polished pieces).
We like to mix up our look and offer a wide variety by making our jewelry with different types of metals and finishes. Sterling Silver, Gold, and Brass are our metals of choice. All can act differently from exposure to different types of elements like the ones mentioned above. We think the more you wear Selva pieces the better it looks and the more character it adds, but that's just our opinion.
You should take certain precautions when it comes to how you handle your jewelry if you like the way it looks when new. Proper care is an important part of keeping your jewelry looking its best. Don’t wear your necklaces, rings, and bracelets when you’re cleaning or working with harsh chemicals; when you’re in the chlorinated pools/spas; or while you’re playing sports or doing any type of physical activity. And when you take off your jewelry, don’t toss them all together in a pile. Store them separately so they’re not rubbing up against one another. Also, consider wrapping them in tissue paper or a soft cloth when you’re not wearing them. When you want to clean your jewelry, soak them in warm, soapy water and use a cloth or very soft brush to scrub away any gunk, dirt, or tarnish.
For Cuff bracelets, DO NOT BEND ON/OFF YOUR WRIST, the cuff can deform and break when doing so (we are not liable if you break your cuff). Carefully and gently, size ONCE to your wrist so it is able to be tightly rotated on and off.

PROCESSING, SHIPPING, & EXCHANGES
Most of our pieces are made-to-order and will begin being handmade after you place your order. Because of this please be patient on handcrafting and processing times. Our current average turn around time for hand-making is 6 business days but please allow 1-3 WEEKS for orders to be handmade as we make each piece from scratch. If your items are readily in stock then processing times may be quicker.
All our handmade items take time. Feel free to contact us to see what we have readily available in stock if you feel hesitant about waiting for production.
Orders will ship for a flat rate of $5 via USPS First Class Mail shipping within the United States. Once your order is fulfilled and shipped, you will receive a Shipment Notification Email with an order tracking number. Orders are shipped First Class Mail and usually take 1-5 business days. This means total time between submission of order to receiving of product can be anywhere from 2-21 days (depending on order and location). If you would like to request an earlier ship date or need it by a certain time please contact us before ordering. If your order will be delayed or cancelled we will e-mail or call you directly. Selva will not be held responsible for lost goods if an incorrect shipping address is provided.
***U.S. holiday orders should be made before 12/10/2023 to receive in time for Christmas!
International orders are accepted on special case basis. Although alternate shipping charges will apply. If for some reason we are unable to ship to your country, you will be notified immediately. Once you receive your Shipment Notification with your tracking number, you should expect your package within 3-5 weeks.
Depending on your area, most orders will be delivered by your local post service, so the package will be received with your regular mail.
Taxes & Duties
All applicable customs, import duties and fees, taxes, and any other charges and fees are the responsibility of the customer (even if you refuse any shipments upon delivery). We ship your package DDU, "duties and taxes unpaid", and we do not collect the VAT, duties and/or taxes and cannot predict what your particular charges may be. If your order does require these additional charges, they must be paid by you in order for your package to clear customs. Some countries may require additional fees paid Collect on Delivery (COD). These fees are paid to the local carrier and are not collected by Selva. Customs authorities require that we state the value of your order directly on your package(s). Customs agents have the right to release or deny release of your package(s), and in rare cases, they may also delay delivery.

ONLINE RETURN POLICY:
You may return most new, unworn items within 15 days of delivery for a store credit or an exchange if you have contacted us first. Return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility. We will send you a return label ONLY if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item). We are happy to issue a store credit for a return or an exchange (with a $15 restocking fee per item). Due to the labor and time that goes into each handmade item, orders can be canceled for full refund ONLY if it is within 24 hours of when the order was placed, any request after the allotted time will be subject to restocking fee or will be issued store credit. Each customer is eligible for one exchange per order. Due to the costly nature of shipping, international orders are not eligible for exchange and are FINAL SALE.
Items being sold online at marked down/sale prices are FINAL SALE. Merchandise marked "Final Sale" cannot be returned. All Custom Orders are Final Sale. All necklaces are Final Sale. Any item/order purchased using a discount/promo code is FINAL SALE.
Exchanges/returns must be postmarked within 15 days of the original shipping date and should be shipped back to our Online department in a prepaid package. We will not accept CODs. All merchandise must be returned unworn, unharmed, and in its original condition along with the original boxes, packaging, and invoice/receipt.
We have the right to deny any store credit returns/exchanges if it does not meet our policy requirements. We highly recommend that you send the package back to us via traceable carrier and insure the full amount of the merchandise you are sending back to us. We are not responsible for missing, lost, damaged goods, or stolen return packages. You will be responsible for shipping fees of returned item(s).
